Opus and Roscoe - Today is a day in which we have come together to remember our dear friend Emil. We have gathered, not to mourn his death, but rather rejoice and celebrate the life of this sweet cat. We will never know why he was taken from us so soon, but we must remember that his life, though far too short, was a life that was rich. A life that was full of fun, adventure, family, friends, and most importantly, a life that was bursting with love.We always saw Emil as the little brother of our friend Karl. He was a wonderful kitten and we loved it when he tagged along with Karl on our adventures. The first time we really got to know Emil was during our trip to Ireland together, this past Saint Patrick's Day. He was a fun, little traveler who did a great job of keeping up with us older cats. He was spirited, sweet natured, and had a wonderful sense of adventure.

As many of you know, Emil was a member of the paparazzi. He always managed to sneak into parties with his camera in tow, ready to snatch an unfaltering photo of misbehaving party animals. We enjoyed his photos and looked forward to seeing what little Emil had caught on film, even if it involved unfaltering photos of ourselves. We will miss Emil terribly. We know that if he were here today, he wouldn't want us to be sad. We also know that if he were here today, he would have his camera in paw, ready to snatch the next photo!
And now we would like the members of Emil's family to share their favorite stories of sweet Emil....
Mrs. Oz - "he was totally disrespectful! i could hiss and hiss and hiss and he would just ignore it and JUMP on my back anyways. so after a while i gave up the hissing and let him chase me up the stairs and into the fireplace. he really liked that."The Maid - "i'd never seen a cat with big and LONG paws like him! his whole body was big, strong boned, heavy, sturdy. he was a big solid cat, a real mini jaguar, the same body type! but when he opened his mouth the sweetest little kitten voice came out. and never once would you feel his claws when he'd play with you! he was our sweet little jaguar."
The Butler - "when he was very small he had no time to be held...resisted it since there was so much else he need to do....chase birds, jump in the bushes, attack karl and mrs. OZ, check the kitchen for food, food, more food.......so much to do......so he would always push against my chest and arms as hard as he could to be let down...... i would hold him up in the air away from
my body and then he would push against the air.....like he was paddling or swimming.....he was funny and relentless."Karl - "he was a feisty guy. a good wrestler and a great hunter who didn't mind me stealing his prey once in a while, hahahahahahaha! i do miss him."
We would now like to ask Emil's friends to please share with us your favorite Emil story or photo. You can always leave messages for his family or display any cards that you have made to honor Emil. Gone too soon, but forever in our hearts!
